Euthanasia

Euthanasia-2

Empathetic Euthanasia Services

The home visit includes a Quality of Life discussion and consultation, as well as a euthanasia discussion with any questions answered about the process and handling of your pet afterward.

In-Home Pet Euthanasia

At Peacefully At Home, we offer compassionate and dignified in-home euthanasia services for a wide range of beloved pets, including traditional domestic animals like dogs and cats and livestock such as goats, sheep, chickens, exotic birds, pigs, and cows. We strive to provide a peaceful and comfortable transition for your cherished companion, ensuring they receive the respect and care they deserve in their final moments.

Pre-Euthanasia Consultation

Before proceeding with euthanasia, we conduct a thorough pre-euthanasia consultation, which includes a Quality of Life discussion and an in-depth conversation about the euthanasia process and the handling of your pet afterward. Our goal is to address any questions or concerns you may have and provide compassionate guidance and support during this difficult time.

Euthanasia-4

Pre-Euthanasia Anesthesia

To ensure a comfortable and relaxed transition for your pet, we administer pre-euthanasia anesthesia. This sedation helps your pet feel sleepy and relaxed, typically taking less than 10 minutes. Once the sedation is in effect, your pet will be under anesthesia, ensuring they are unaware of anything afterward.

Gentle and Painless Farewell

Following the administration of anesthesia, we use state-of-the-art medication for euthanasia. This painless and gentle medication allows your pet to transition when you and your pet are ready. Our compassionate approach ensures your pet’s final moments are filled with comfort and dignity.

In-Home Euthanasia with Cremation

We offer assistance with cremation services for smaller pets. However, we recommend contacting Heaven’s Gate Pet Memorial Center for professional cremation services for larger pets. They provide options such as private cremation with ashes returned to you or group cremation with the scattering of ashes on a horse ranch in Lincoln, CA. We can facilitate the pickup of your pet’s ashes from their office, and they also offer pickup services after our appointment.

Fees & Equine Euthanasia

While a consultation is not required before euthanasia, we offer it as a service for $175. The fee for the house call, sedation, and euthanasia starts at $325 and varies based on the weight and location of your pet. Additional fees for larger animals, longer travel distances, and visits outside regular business hours may apply.

With extensive experience working with horses of all sizes, we also offer comprehensive equine euthanasia services. Our fee includes the ranch call, sedation, and euthanasia. We understand the complexities of handling larger animals like horses after euthanasia and can assist in coordinating their care and transportation. Additional fees may apply for hauling and remaining handling.

Pre-Euthanasia Consultation

We proudly serve the greater Yuba, Sutter, and Placer counties, with our base in Plumas Lake. While our primary service area covers these regions, we also extend our services to areas beyond, albeit with additional travel time charges for extended travel.
